It Ends With Us

First up, another reminder about our £5-a-ticket opening night, and our showing of It Ends With Us starring Mrs Deadpool herself, Blake Lively. We're thrilled to say that we'll be showcasing the DJ skills of Prince Brandon AKA Dr Lovejoy in the bar beforehand. Amongst his other gigs, Dr Lovejoy hosts a terrific World Music show on Unmade Radio,Portsmouth & Southsea’s community radio station.

The bar opens at the earlier time of 5.30pm for the 7pm screening, pleanty of time for a few drinks and a boogie.

NT Live: Prima Facie

Thursday 12th September at 7pm

NT Encore, Prima Facie - we covered this last time, but tickets are selling rapidly for our National Theatre ‘Encore’ showing at 7pm on Thursday 12th September of Jodie Comer’s acclaimed one-woman stage presentation Prima Facie. Filmed at the Harold Pinter Theatre in 2022, tickets for the screening are £15.50, get yours while stocks last!

Variant screenings

We’ll be getting back to our usual ‘what’s on next week’ format for the next newsletter, but here we’d like to bring to your attention a couple of variations to our usual day/time weekly schedule:

  • On Wednesday 25th September (6pm for 7pm screening) we have a screening of Widow Clicquot director Thomas Napper’s film about the ‘Grande Dame of Champagne’ Barbie-Nicole Ponsardin starring Haley Bennett in the title role.
  • And for those of you who love our matinee showings, we’re opening our doors at 2pm on Sunday 29th September for a 3pm screening of John Margolin’s directorial debut Thelma starring the nonagenarian June Squibb (also showing 7pm on Saturday 14th September)
